Why Don is writing these stories.
My parents and grandparents are gone. I am still here but closer to gone than I want to admit. When they were around, I was too self centered to ask questions, hear their answers and remember their stories. What I would give to know more about their lives and times!
I am putting together this set of stories to share with my children Britany and Scott, my grandkids, great grandkids and others. I will try to answer for them the questions I wish I had asked my parents and grandparents.
Looking back on my life there have been so many changes in the world that I can scarcely take it in. There were some wonderful things long ago that are no longer available and there are some terrible things from that era that are no longer a problem. I am writing these sketches for you so that you might have a better understanding of me and my parents and grandparents and of the times which formed me.
