4495 Horn

4495 Horn

My folks bought the 4495 Horn Street house about the time I finished junior high. This was pretty quickly after my dad returned from his six month assignment in the Philippines.

This is a more recent photo of the house: The house had three bedrooms (Terry and I shared a bedroom), two baths and a detached two car garage. This was my ‘high school’ house.

If the photographer who took the photo above were to turn about 45 degrees to his right, he would be looking up the street beside the house and at the end of the street he would see French High School where I spent three years.

It was great to be able to wake up at 7:20 and be on campus by 7:30.

I had two buddies in the neighborhood, Jerry Whitman one year older and Billy Frank one year younger
