Freemasonry and DeMolay

My dad was a freemason. Freemasons are a secret society of men and is basically charged with doing good. There is a lot of history associated with masonry. Many of the founding fathers were masons. Dad worked the masonry program and became the Worshipful Master of the BF Quicksall lodge (head honcho).

Dad was part go the team that acquired the land and built the lodge on East Lucas in Beaumont. I remember helping clear the trees before the foundation was poured.

When dad finished his term as Worshipful Master the lodge gave him a gold watch with the masonic logo (compass and square} engraved on the back.
