Biggest Mistake Ever!!!

As a bright teen with a high IQ, I began to hang out with the ‘intelligencia’ group in Beaumont. This was a group of around 20 high achievers who were into ‘forward’ thinking.

I was mercilessly urged by this group to forsake my belief in Christ and become an atheist.

They used phrases like, ‘You’re too smart to believe in Satan.’ ‘No rational person can believe in resurrection.’

This went on during my junior and senior years in high school. My best friends were not strong believers and we all though it was cool to be in the ‘smart’ group who were too smart for ‘God stuff’ and religion.

I did not make a ‘light switch’ decision but I just gradually stopped subscribing to organized religion and I began to release my Christian beliefs.

This was the BIGGEST single mistake of my life. To walk away from Christ’s fellowship and intimacy. I walked in darkness for almost 20 years.

Here is how great God is. He never left me! He blessed me with jobs, Kathy, Britany, Scott and material prosperity.

My return was as gradual as my departure and I will go into detail as I get to that part of my life.

Please, when Satan lies in your ear and urges you to doubt Christ – cling to your faith, redouble your prayer and meditation, get with Christian friends and don’t, don’t, don’t forsake Christ.
