Garden

At the back of the Idylwood property there was a tin shed full of junk as I recall. On the south side of the shed was a plot about 25 feet deep by 50 feet wide. Mom and dad made this into a vegetable garden.

We had squash, pole beans, tomatos, bell peppers and some other stuff. They only maintained it for a couple of years. In those years, on Saturdays in summer we would have a ‘garden’ meal with delicious fresh garden vegetables. I wasn’t delighted about it at that time would have preferred a hamburger, but looking back, those meals are now my favorite…
