Church

Mom and Dad were Baptists and raised their three kids in that denomination.

When we lived on the south side of town we attended Calvary Baptist.

When we moved to the Idylwood house we ‘moved our letter’ to North End Baptist. 📷 We attended – faithfully. We were there almost any time the doors were open. I accepted Christ as my personal savior on my tenth birthday, 25 March, 1946. I was baptized on a Wednesday night 10 days later. I lead singing in Sunday school and was pretty active in the youth group. Mom and dad continued to attend North End even thought it moved to US 69 until they moved their ‘letter’ to Wildwood Baptist when they moved to that neighborhood
