Bullied by Michael Jordan

In the movie ‘A Christmas Story there is a segment where Ralph’s is bullied by a couple of his classmates. I love tis movie because it seems somewhat biographical to me.

In the mid years of elementary school I was a bit of a doofus. I did well in class but I was not very athletic. I was not a fast runner and I was pain averse so I did not take athletic risks during recess or PE.

One of my classmates, Michael Jordan, was a bully. I was not his only target, but I was one of his favorites. He liked to hit me and trip me. And I put up with it.

Unfortunately, he lived about a block beyond the Idylwood house so we shared the route home from school. He particularly liked to tease dn pick on me during the walk home.

Then, like Ralphie, one day I had had enough and I went off on hime. I hit him with my fists, knocked hime down and began funneling him. I had to be pulled off by my friends.

This ended the bullying.

Sadly, I think Mike had undiagnosed ADHD.
